Garrett Holbrook
ASUI Presidential Candidate

Since coming to Moscow from my small town home in Chimacum, Washington I have spent most of my time getting involved and doing my best to pick a major.  Heading into my final year here, I have settled into Public Relations and Political science as my two areas of study.

As a freshman I lived on campus in Snow Hall and served as its president a year later.  Following my time as president, I served as an executive within the Residence Hall Association working on projects to bring students together and improve the image of the residence halls.  My time in RHA allowed me to build numerous contacts within the university system from top to bottom and at the corporate level of our campus dining provider, where I served on a national student board of directors.

After my time in Snow Hall and eventually Gem Hall I was elected to the ASUI Senate and moved off campus.  As a Senator I completed projects to increase student involvement and awareness in every area of the university from parking to the trouncing of Boise State in a new annual food drive competition.  Outside of leadership positions, I spend my time working for the Athletic Department and volunteering throughout the Moscow community and across the nation as a part of the Alternative Service Break program.

Tricia Crump
ASUI Vice Presidential Candidate

This is my second year on campus as an Agriculture Economics major.  I pledged Delta Gamma last year and have continued my active membership.  Moscow is a big change from my hometown, Pocatello, Idaho.  The campus is what persuaded me to drive nine hours to go to college.  I instantly fell in love with not only the campus but also the people that make it great.  My first semester, I became active on campus by running for the elected position of ASUI Senator.  Senate gave me the opportunity to be a voice on many different boards and committees, an opportunity to meet current and prospective students, as well as work for the student body.  During my term as Senator, I maintained the position of Chairperson for the Finance Committee where I enacted legislation reforming Senate finance, and helped ensure ASUI spent student funds wisely.  After my term ended in the fall of 2007 I took a brief pause and then accepted the position as Director of Health and Wellness.  This opportunity allowed me to continue my leadership in the ASUI and push for better student services.  ASUI has not been my only area of involvement.  I am or have maintained interests in the Agribusiness Club and Collegiate FFA.  My past service while at the U of I has included; Aid to the Blind, volunteer work at the Good Samaritan, Saturday of Service, and tutoring at the Lena Whitmore Elementary School.  I am currently on the Dean’s List for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.  My background as a rodeo queen has fueled my desire to become an Agricultural Lobbyist.  I hope to some day take a lobbying position in the White House and be a voice for important agriculture issues.  Until then, I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the students of the University of Idaho.
